Sunday, May 20, 2007 12:00 Noon to 4:00 p.m. Stonelick State Park Still paddling…..and much more! Go With The Flow is moving to Stonelick State Park. For three years the small, but fun, trip down the Little Miami River in canoes and kayaks has expanded in more ways than one. According to Tim McMannis, founder of Go With The Flow, the move to the beach at Stonelick State Park will provide more opportunities for fun and games in the water and on dry land. Come out to the Stonelick Park Beach on Sunday, May 20. Fun and games begin at 12:00 noon and continue until 4:00 p.m. Participants are invited to tour the lake, join in a scavenger hunt, take part in an ice cream marathon, learn fly fishing techniques, and form a tug-of-war team. Also planned are kayak roll demonstrations, speed corn hole games, slog the canoe challenges, and more. The message is the same: Early Detection Saves Lives. Motivated by a close childhood friend’s breast cancer diagnosis, McMannis developed Go With The Flow in 2004. The event has raised more than $7,000. Spectator’s and participant’s tax-deductible donations are $10 per person or $15 for families. Proceeds benefit local breast cancer programs of the American Cancer Society and the Prostate Cancer Coalition $1 Million Challenge. Picnic areas and camping is available at the park.
