History of Nature Outfitters

I started Nature Outfitters in the spring of 1990.  With no colateral and very little money, but a dream of providing quality equipment to outdoor enthusiasts.  The first location was Garfield Avenue.  Then a move to 106 Main Street gave us better visabiity.  In  1999  we purchased 118/120 Main Street which is our present location, providing us 3500 square feet of retail space.  It's the perfect size to have a great selection but small enough to provide the one-on-one customer service we strive for.  We also support local and national environmental groups, do numerous camping, backpacking and canoe & kayak events and programs throughout the year.  As we go into our 20th year in business we feel blessed to have you as customers and to have you choose to spend your hard earned dollars at Nature Outfitters.  Our knowedgable staff is always ready to help equip you with the gear you need for your next outdoor getaway.  We look forward to hearing about your next adventure.
