The sprinter in the family, Pungo 140 gives some true sea kayaks
a run for their money. This boat doesn’t sacrifice comfort

shallow rivers and up to class II whitewater. You forfeit a
little tracking but gain maneuverability, and the freedom to
explore waters and conditions that might be too much for a keeled
boat. If you like to visit widely varying water, get a Pamlico.

A step up in size and stowage. We call this a solo-and-a-half
— add the optional jump seat and you can take a small (>45
lbs) child. Plenty of room for overnighters, or a weekend for
the smart packer.

The smallest and most entry/exit friendly of the much-loved
Pamlico tandems. The new 135T maintains its cockpit’s greatest
width almost its full length. Particularly nice for the forward
paddler. A great family day boat.
